Bağrıüstü melon, which is unique to the Aydıncık district of Yozgat and resembles a banana in taste, is highly appreciated for both its smell and taste. The taste of the melon, which is called 'bagriwhole', is similar to both a banana and a melon, due to the fact that the seeds in it are stuck together, the size of a large egg.
For this reason, the local people also call Bağrıüstü “ground banana”. The harvest of Bağrıüstü melon, which is the livelihood of the district and is planted on an area of 100 decares this year, has also started.
