Kazankaya Town is a town in Yozgat Aydıncık District, 4 kilometers northwest of Çekerek Alaca road, 10 kilometers from Aydıncık District, in the north of the county. The biggest natural wonder that increases the importance of Kazankaya Town is the Kazankaya Canyon and the traces of historical settlements in this area.
The length of the canyon, whose entrance starts in Kazankaya Town, is 10 kilometers. There are 1363 meters high Alan Mountains in the south and Malbelen Hill in the west. The Çekerek River, a branch of Yeşilırmak, passes through the canyon. On the rocks rising on both sides of the valley where the river flows, there are wall remains, cavities and stair steps, the relief of the goddess Kybele (symbol of fertility and abundance). The gigantic relief (3.16 meters in height) of the goddess Kybele (Cybele) in a niche, in relief, looks towards the castle rising on the rocks on the other side of the Çekerek River.
The name of the hill, which is rocky in the southeast of the town and descends into the river flowing from the southwest, in the form of steep rocks, is Sarıbaba. There are traces of settlements thought to be BC on the hills and rocks in question.
To the south of the area called Karagözlük Hill, to the east of the town, there are fields descending in ridges. This place is called Gulluk. Hittite Cemetery was discovered by researchers in Güllük.
