Yozgat Çamlık National Park was declared a national park in 1958. Çamlık National Park, with an area of 264 hectares, is Turkey's first national park.
According to a study conducted in 1982, Yozgat Pine National Park contains a 400-500-year-old Black Pine species called Caucasian Pine (Pinus nigra Arn. Subsp. Pallasiana). This pine species is only found in Çamlık in Turkey and they can still give seeds. In addition, a total of 212 plant species in 43 families and 144 genera live in Çamlık, including nearly 30 endemic species. For this reason, there is also a botanical tourism potential in Yozgat Pine.
